Line project
I may have done this wrong, but I did a line version of the picture I researched for my story project. It was a bit difficult at first, but I tried my best to draw with just lines. If I have to do this over, I might try to draw someone as a symbol of royalty.
Finding the Story
The piece I chose to use for this project was entitled "Don Boltazar Carlos with a Dwarf" by Velosquez. This is more like a Renaissance painting. At first, I thought the two characters were both girls, and that the one in front was the king's heir, but they are both boys and the taller blonde child is the heir. I love how the background is displayed almost as a photographer's shoot. I think it's a possibility that the artist is displayed as the dwarf in the painting, because he was a loyal servant to Philip IV and his family.
